Delayed? Take a look at the message path in the headers to find out why it's
delayed. Look for the host that took the longest and work backwards. Also,
verify it's using the hosts you expect it to take and not taking another
route, such as through your ISP's alternate servers.

Hi Jen,

Do an nslookup on your new mx record and make sure that there aren't any
duplicate matches being hosted by ISPs other that yours. This would cause
e-mail routing problems.

The first place to start would be your ISP.

Cheers,

Alex.

Subject: [exchangelist] delayed emails

http://www.MSExchange.org/

Hi,

I am operating on Win2k, Exchange 2000. Recently changed over from DSL to
T1 and had to change MX records. This change took place about 2 weeks ago.
However, we are receiving delayed emails. I check the event log and found
that Exchange MTA service was not started. So i started the service
yesterday morning. But are still receiving delayed emails. Can anyone
advised on why this might be happening?

Thanks!

Jen
