http://www.msexchange.org -------------------------------------------------------Don't confuse "what they do" with functional practices. There are *lots* of small businesses sending mail that can't get a PTR record because of their ISP polices. Are you prepared to maintain your own PTR records for each and every non-UCE server that can't provide a "real" PTR lookup? ..it's what you'll have to do. -----Original Message----- From: exchangelist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:exchangelist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Andrew English Sent: Thursday, June 01, 2006 4:33 AM To: exchangelist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [ExchangeList] Re: IMF config Uhm so what your saying is there is no way to drop RDNS failed emails correct? Yes I have Reverse lookup enabled on my Exchange for incoming emails, however emails that file still get through, so there has to be an easier way to blacklist the IPs that fail. There mail servers on the net that do just that. Hence if your IP doesn't have a PTR record your company is screwed big time!
