For the moment, I wouldn't hold my breath. A while ago, Jari Aalto <jari.aalto@xxxxxxxxx> was in touch about packaging for debian. I don't know the status of that. Presumably some users make use of the contents of the 'debian-unofficial' directory in the source tree.
