If starting afresh, you might as well use the current version, 0.7.3

but after installing I found most icons missing.

Application-specific icons are by default installed to 
<prefix>/share/pixmaps/emelfm2.
Or you can readily change the dir scanned by the application, by setting the 
relevant path on the "interface" page of a config dialog.


 Anyone else notice this.

The only dependencies for a "vanilla" version are: glib, gtk (and for building, 
their corresponding dev packages), and for building but not necessarily 
runtime, libmagic-dev.
