Yes, have to agree about historical novels.

Also those strange historical going back in time books like the Outlander
series need to be read in order.

Dave, I'd largely agree with you with some exceptions.  I think short
historical series like Bernard Cornwell's Arthur, Saxon Chronicles and
Grailquest should be read in their proper, that's to say, historical order.
