I have for the past two days been trying to order visitor parking permits.
Has anyone else had the following experience?
In the new system it is necessary to register and set up a password.
Then having ordered a book of permits a screen then came up saying because
there was insufficient evidence that a copy of something like a council tax
bill/bank statement etc. needed to be scanned to them.
When I telephoned the Council about this they said this would be needed
every time a book of visitor permits was ordered.
I was told that this was to ensure that people were not ordering permits
when they had no right to them.
Surely we can't go along with this.
They must be able to check against the details they already hold,
especially if we already have a resident parking permit.
Any suggestions about what we should do?
