And thank you for letting us know. I agree with the above and support an
objection to nonnas request for an extension of their hours. We live in a
residential area and need to keep the quiet as much as possible rather than
letting the noisy hectic mayhem of such as west street creep to our area.
An extension will also increase traffic and taxis in particular.
Thus I support ECCO sending an objection and I’ll try to send something to our
councillor

same reason - to enable their business to be viable. And we fought the
application back then.
As far as I am concerned, if a business operating under current planning
restrictions cannot be viable, they should close or move. They know what the
limits are and should run their business accordingly, and should not go
crying to the authorities if they are not astute enough to make their
business work. As for the Covid-19 restrictions, everyone is in the same
boat, and individual businesses should not be asking for special
considerations.
The government are pushing for relaxation of planning restrictions around
new housing, so there is unfortunately an atmosphere of businesses being
willing to exploit people and the environment for their own personal gain.
If Nonnas win this application, every single other business on Ecclesall
Road will apply and get the same.
Ecclesall Road is bad enough as it is, so we should fight to maintain the
current planning and licensing restrictions.
