Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Yes, where possible, DBT 10.5
now sets the embosser to
interpoint or single sided.

There is a file called emb.elt that controls how DBT 10.5 works with each
specific model of embosser.
Because the use of escape sequences is not available through the emb.elt, I
decided to add comments for
each embosser explaining how DBT 10.5 decides which escape code to use
(i.e. sometimes it is based on the 
driver, which is listed in the emb.elt file, sometimes it is based on an
aspect to the name of the embosser).
The comments also list which escape codes are used. To be useful, you need
to look up in the documentation
to find out what "esc w" does, but it is at least a start.

If you want, I can increase the comments in a future update -- I did not
want each entry to be overwealming at 
this stage.
