Aloha Catherine,

A couple of transcriber's I know have very elaborate lighting setups for proofreading interpoint. I hear one can "go blind" from reading braille with ones eyes.

I also noticed that the Drill book for the transcriber's course from the Library of Congress is single-sided.
Take care...
Betsy

Here's a question for all the sighted list members with a knowledge of
braille. Can you read interpoint pages or does the image of the dots from
the other side of the page get in the way? If this is a problem, how do
you manage to read texts in interpoint braille? I'm asking because I've
heard that it can't be done but that to me doesn't seem correct.
Thanks in advance for your replies.
Catherine
