Kaye,

The results you download aren't useful.
They have to be analysed by computer and matched with other people's tests.
The only useful bit is the matches that are made by Ancestry until you learn more and put the results on GedMatch - again you don't even open the zip file. On Gedmatch you get more matches and more tools to work with. But it's not easy.

Can I warn people to be aware when ordering DNA tests for family history.

I ordered and paid $300 for DNA tests for my daughter and son-in-law.

The test kits went to them and they sent them in. But when the results
came back, they went to them although I had ordered them.

My daughter tried to send the results to me because she doesn’t do
family history. But I wasn’t able to open the file.

So what a waste of money. She has told me a little bit about what’s in
the results but she doesn’t do FH and doesn’t understand too much
about it. There are many pages and she is going to try and forward
them to me tomorrow.

I tried to email Ancestry to ask if I can access the results but there
is no contact email address on their website.

What else can I do?

Any help would be appreciated otherwise just be aware of what happened
here.
