That is a cool plugin. Combining the plugin with the discussion-button idea
should mostly solve the problem.
But the solution is still missing something crucial: the ability to cleanly
handle large numbers of entries. Perhaps a growing discussion could be split
among multiple pages. Or perhaps the discussioon could retain the most recent
50 or so entries and archive the rest. I'll suggest this on the plugin's page.
