I'm on this. Still in "thinking stage", but I think I'll produce something this weekend (okay, maybe next week). > > - How to link? > - If I'm in the 'de' namespace and the german page doesn't exist would > the link go to the 'en' namespace? I think so. Maybe some text like "There's no such page in your language, create one!" could be printed. > - How to handle different pagenames itself? > Eg. how to know en:namespace is the same as de:namensraum ? > - How do other Wiki's handle it? > I think mediawiki has a special syntax to define other languages for > the same page? Mayb this could be done through a plugin... Mediawiki uses language:article_name_in_that_language syntax. For example, take a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Pencil&action=edit bottom. I think that's pretty cool idea, but what if translator forgets about linking to his newly translated article? Maybe we could use "base language" names, like en/pencil.txt, de/pencil.txt and so on. Only title (header) would change. I think that's better than a big relation database... > > You see I'm reluctant to say yes I will add a patch when I get one until > I know how this should be done. > > Andi > > > -- Linas Valiukas gsm: +370 687 65 870 email: shirshegsm@xxxxxxxxx icq: 147235316 -- DokuWiki mailing list - more info at http://wiki.splitbrain.org/wiki:mailinglist
