If you're going to get PoW, get the PC or Xbox version. The PS2 version not only doesn't have the DirectMusic (obviously) but it's got some nasty bugs in it and I hate it! -----Original Message----- From: directmusic-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:directmusic-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Bjorn Lynne Sent: 23 October 2002 16:04 To: directmusic@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [directmusic] Re: Compression on DLS samples? Thanks very much, Ciaran! Just what I was hoping to hear. :-) Thanks again. By the way, I still haven't heard the music you did for PoW. I guess I'll go and buy the game, just to check out the music. If I do, it had *better* be good!! ;-) Just kidding. - Bjorn -- Bjorn Lynne - Composer, Producer, Sound Designer Main music site: www.lynnemusic.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ciaran Walsh" <ciaran@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <directmusic@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, October 23, 2002 4:00 PM Subject: [directmusic] Re: Compression on DLS samples? > > >>1) Can I use some compression on my DLS instruments? > > Yes - there's a drop down menu in the wave / compression properties dialog. > Most likely to be useful are Microsoft ADPCM and mp3.
