fantastic that's great, I'm waiting for mine to come in this week.
I ordered the saffire 40 as I really need something that I can rack.
As for the alpha track they ended up switching it, and this one actually
works great.
So in the end I stuck with the alpha track but want to change my Roland octa
capture since I can't get the interface control panel to work with Jaws
this is why I'm going with the focuswrite.
Plus the octa capture is all digital, meaning that you actually have to hit
the plus or minus buttons to switch between inputs, and the power switch is
a digital swith which you actually have to press everytime you turn on the
unit.
To complicate things even further, the fantom switch is a digital switch
too.

Hey Phil, I'm probabbly going to pick up either the 24 DSP, or the Saffire
pro 40 at my local music shop, with a Novation zero surface controller.
I tried the alfa track, and I find the incoders stiff, and the fader rattles
some times which leads me to believe that the quality isn't that great on
the alpha track.
Would you happen to have the hot spots for the Saffire panel at least some
what ready?

Mike. The control panel will be accessible on the PC side with
HotSpotClicker. Also, if you made up the snapshots that you wanted on the
PC side then, you could simply load up the required snapshot when working on
the MAC for a given hardware mix set-up and take it from there.
