The only difference the internal resolution setting makes is to the zoom value you can see in OP. 100% zoom in the OP frame corresponds to the JPEG's internally set resolution. So, changing the resolution of all JPEGs to a fixed value, e.g., 300dpi does help a bit when using them in OP, but it is irrelevant as far as the actual printing process goes.
