lol, I guess for me it was a combination of things. T5 was probably the
first fighter I got into pretty seriously and by the time I had gotten to
Tag2 it started feeling too familiar I guess. Somewhere between all of it I
discovered some other fighters like SF and those scenes (local
and international) seemed pretty rad which helped.

From a purely technical viewpoint, I don't think I hated TTT2 - it just
wasn't that much fun for me personally anymore. I don't really mind having
the franchise try something new even if it seems watered down - I'd happily
play the game if it was fun. I don't know what that means precisely but as
a start I'd appreciate interesting character designs and archetypes, fluid
movement options and a limited number of meaningful moves as opposed to a
ton of moves that serve little to no purpose.
