Brent - yes there are model railroaders here as well as others that share
the CPR interest.
For paint, I suggest you have a look at the Scalecoat I colours offered by
the CNR guys. They have both a CP tuscan and the CP grey. A link to their
web page is <http://cnlines.ca/products/paint.php>. One could argue ad
naseum about whether the shades are "just right". That's a personal thing
and it might be worthwhile experimenting if you want to get into that.
Accupaint also offers a very nice tuscan red for CPR.
I'm afraid the script scheme starts after my interest, so I can't help you
there. However, a search of the list archives by the word "script" should
turn up some helpful references.

Subject: [cpsig] cp colors and lettering
Hi this is my first time post. I am an engineer for CP in Medicine Hat
with 31 years of service. I am getting into N scale railroading and
naturally have chosen CP in the very early 60's and earlier.
I am not sure if there is any model railroaders here but I was
wondering when Canadian Pacific started using script writing on the
sides of their rolling stock. I also want to paint some brass engines
in the old maroon and grey paint scheme. Is there any off the shelf
suppliers of hobby paint that would closely match these colors.
thank you
Brent
