According to Doug Hately, none of the G5's had Elesco Feedwater heaters? Are
there any photos' of them in CP service with them?
Certainly, there are lots of photos of the engines with Elesco heaters. It all
depends on the type of the Elesco heater you’re talking about. The G5d’s had
Elesco 3 coil type heaters rather than the K series heaters normally found on
CPR engines.
Could I obtain copies of the drawings of the G1 and G2 locos please?
Yeah, no problem, I’ll pull them out and queue them up for scanning.
