All switchers were painted black with maroon panels up until 1947. In 1948 and
1949 all switchers were delivered in the maroon with yellow band scheme.
Switchers delivered from 1950 until the end were painted in the maroon and grey
block scheme.
The only road units to receive the maroon with yellow band scheme were the
Baldwin DRS-44-1000s (8000-8012) and the Alco/MLW RS-2s (8400-8408).

Finally, the MLW RS-2's 8405-8408 were delivered in 04/50 but in
what paint scheme? The stencil on the CPHA website suggests they
were painted the same as the Alcos. Help!
