Most likely these programs will do what they are advertised to do. I was
sending those snipets so that maybe one of those sly foxes may still be
hidden or overlooked!
Even on NAV website that the removal tool "The W32.ElKern repair removes the
viral code from the file. It does not ensure that a file that is repaired
from W32.ElKern will run because this virus often corrupts files."
So there's a possibility that this might be the case as well. When you
un-installed NAV, did you simply just un-installed it using the Add/Remove
control panel applet? According to this, there's a GANG load of stuff you
have to do! :-O

This is why I'm praying that I don't never have to un-install! :-( Might be
easier just to wipe the drive and start all over again if I had to do that!
