(Possibly very minuscule spoilers.)
Most of the reviews I’ve read and heard have not been very positive.
I watched it with my 10-year-old twins two weeks ago and we liked it well
enough for an evening’s entertainment. It’s certainly nowhere near as good as
the first, which I would rate one of the better superhero movies ever made.
My headline review is that it was kind of like a lobster: some really tasty
bits but much of it inedible.
(A feminist critic could have a field day with this film: the protagonist is
basically reduced to a woman who cannot feel complete without her man, and the
climax of the film is a literal cat fight.)
All of that aside, I did like some of the scenes and some of the
visuals/special effects.
Given how powerful Wonder Woman is, however, I would’ve liked to have seen her
in more epic types of situations. Rounding up bad guys in a shopping mall felt
pretty mundane and patronizing.
Also, one question: where exactly was Cheetah at the end of the movie? I
thought she had died by drowning/electrocution. She seemed to be in some alien
landscape? Did I miss something here?
Also also, the opening scene of “Amazon Ninja Warrior” struck me as
demonstrating a fair lack of creativity.

So who has seen WW1984? We watched it this evening on TV, it’s on a “rent
for 48 hours” basis in the UK just now. Anyone got any opinions?
