There's a charge that fellow collectors lay at my feet, and it's also the
second thing that jealous boyfriends and cuckolded husbands confront me about
when they square up to me in their driveways. They say (and I'm paraphrasing)
"Why be foolish and get many common examples when with a little self control
you can focus and get one really fine example?"
I look them dead in the eye and reply "Sure, I can get four Ivan Petrovich
pages for the cost of one action page with the Black Widow in costume, and
that's how I built my rep. My Ivan game is strong, no doubt. Ivan Petrovich and
I roll deep. But, if I'm gonna run these streets, sometimes I gotta mess with
the formula. My collection is garden-fresh. Sometimes keeping it 100% means
adding a Natasha page like this. I don't let the covers and splashes-only guys
get me down. Their indifference fuels my grind."
Then, the jealous boyfriends and cuckolded husbands always say "WTF are you
talking about?!?" But I know, underneath their maniacal rage, they have deep
respect for my Ivan Petrovich collection.Thanks, Lee!
