What is your interest in Collaborative Law:
I see collaborative law as the best, most respectful
and client-focused
way
to resolve family disputes with integrity for most
separating/divorcing
couples. It presents challenges for the
practitioners, certainly, but is
rewarding in that it permits the clients to fashion
their own
resolutions/solutions with the help of advocates
whose focus is on
diffusing
conflict, advancing each party's goals and promoting
the best possible
parenting outcomes while keeping the family's
resources within the unit,
not
spent on forcing judicial system outcomes. I enjoy
this form of practice
-
it allows me to be helpful to the client, creative
and focused in my own
practice on resolution and win/win outcomes, not on
gaining strategic
advantages in short-term, litigious processes.
