As for your fractal 'Mica_by_kaze_ryuujin', that's the sort of stuff I've been playing around with, and was trying to find examples of, to see if anyone else was knocking them out with the extreme-contrast side of things, trying to bring out the different colours &textures hidden by the settings. i achieved something similar to that effect by putting basic solid renders through some high-contrast exercises, however.. I believe Mica was more a result of photoshop. The same coordinates were re-rendered in Plamsa with a color map of some varaiety, and the two combined in photoshop before hue/saturation editing took place. It makes the effect somewhat more dramatic without killing the rest of the image glad the extra info helpped. sorry i wasn't more clear the first time around ^ _^ ~Kaze
