I got a related (or the same?) problem with Ubuntu 9.04, which I hadn't had
with previous versions. After installation, the system would automatically
attempt to connect DHCP. But after a few days it stopped doing that, and
if I want to get a DHCP connection I have to explicitly request it by
sudo dhclient
Any lights?
