Hmmm, let's see. Just to clarify a few things, this is how I see
1-2-3 and 4-5-6.
Programmers, feel free to correct this, if necessary.
So, a 4-5-6 only clears your settings. If you have a corrupted
program file, or anything of the sort, it'll stay. If you do a
1-2-3, only, but, only, your dictionary will go, as the
extentions are built in as of 9.4, so you only need the hwz file,
and keymaps is installed once the unit reboots. And if you live
in the USA, that 60 mb is not much to download at all. Also,
that thing clears off your ram, too. Basically, it'll clear
everything off, other than your beta. Its almost like a flash
disk format, but without your stuff going off it. Because of
this, if I do a reset, that's always 1-2-3, rather than 4-5-6.
But then again, I don't have a dictionary, so that doesn't effect
me. Therefore, for me, there are literally, no extra jobs, which
ever one I do. Both will take my settings, and that's all, that
they will take on mina, anyways.

Whatup yas. Do not do the 1-2-3 reset because then yyr'al's
data and dictionary gets stuffed and then you have to get the
dictionary you were licened for.
Do the 4-5-6 reset and that sh'all fix it.

Memory scan is performed when Windows CE detects that something
might have
gone wrong with how flash disk stores data. This is usually
invoked after
you do a forced hard reset (that is, doing a 5 second reset while
a file is
opened, a website was loading, etc.) where chances of data loss
is high.

You are doing the resets correctly. Your bn is not responding
correctly.
It is not doing the reset you tell it to. I would say take out
the battery,
unplug the ac adapter, wait a few minutes and put your battery
back in. If
this does not work, do a flash disk format. Back up your files
to a
different storage device first. If none of this works, I would
say it's
time to send your bn to hw for repair.

Hey, y'all. I'm worried that something is wrong with my unit.
Here for the last couple days or so, regardless of how long I
hold my reset
button, my Apex always says "Memory scan". Also, half of the
resets I must
perform don't finish as it will get to about 72 and stop, forcing
me to
press the reset button again. I thought that the memory scan
resets were
the 7-second press resets, but I'm getting this message even on
the
press-release resets. I hope I haven't made everyone confused!
Just
wondering if y'all have had this problem. Let me know.
