Hi Kasondra, and welcome to Bookshare.
Someone has already explained what volunteering entails, and I think the
easiest way to get started is to write an e-mail to
volunteer@xxxxxxxxxxxxx and ask Marissa to set you up as a volunteer. She'll
send you a file that describes in more detail what is involved. The great
thing about validating is that you can pick which books you want to do, so
you can read things you wanted to read anyway and earn some credit. There is
a list for Bookshare volunteers that you might want to join if you decide to
volunteer. Meanwhile, if it would help to ask questions about your scanning
software here, feel free.
