If you want a program which will convert both types, protected and
unprotected files, try, sound taxi, $25.  Note!  It will only convert
protected files for which you own a license.

There is a free wma2mp3 converter which I could send to you if you would
like.
The only problem would be if the file(s) you ave are protected in some way.
