The audio book that I saved as wma was an audio book I had on cd. I thought windows media player would save as mp three, and then realized it hadn't.

But not if you want to read overdrive protected books. Tried it, and not to be a wet blanket, but sound taxi has been known to crash computers, not always, but an expensive risk. Better to invest in an accessable player. Those who have the zen stone player can tell you more than I, but the screenless verson, at 1 gb isn't supposed to be too bad. There are also the olympus ds 30, 40 and 50, Very overdrive friendly, but pricy. Others with other players can advise you better. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bob Pignatello" <rpignate@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Verba,

You can set Windows Media Player to save as mp3 OR wma. You could probably re-convert the original files to mp3.

Hello:
I used windows media player to save an audio book to my computer so I culd later listen to it with the bookport, and didn't realize the sound tracks were saved to wma. Looking through some of the messages that came through the list this morning, I learned that the current book port doesn't play wma files. Is there any way for me to convert these files to mp3?
Marta
