You can go to your local electronic store and buy a mini USB cable. Why not just buy a case for your Bookport from Executive Products? The case has a shoulder strap and wrist strap as well as a very sturdy belt clip. If you sent it back to APH, they would have to replace the Bookport's case. I'm talking about the plastic covering..

I put the port on my trouser belt when sitting down to keep it secure, but the clip has bent back meaning it no longer is flush against the case.
