Bruce, I agree that there is already a lot of information spoken when the 8 key is pressed while reading is in progress. The suggestion here, however, is that when pressing the 8 key while on a folder name, the BP would speak some information about the folder and it's contents - i.e., number of files in the folder, space the folder takes up, or something like that. Currently, when the BP is on a folder and not reading, nothing is spoken when the 8 key is pressed. Thus, there might be room for this feature without adding to the amount of information already spoken if the 8 key is pressed while reading is in progress. -- Pete ------ original message ----- Date: Sun, 12 Feb 2006 07:04:25 -0600 (CST) From: Bruce Toews <DogRiver@xxxxxxxx> Subject: [bookport] Re: Feature Request - Number of Files in folder There comes a point, and who knows when that point is reached, where there's just too much information spoken with the 8 command. There's got to be a balance. Everyone probably has their pet favorites, something they'd like to see included, but if you put them all in, it'd take ten minutes to listen through all the info.
