Fantastic news Sandy - glad you are still able to read. I'll keep your
advice in mind everytime I update.
Sandy, glad to hear that your BP is up and running, or should I say reading.

Subject: [bookport] Reason, among many, for thanksgiving!!!!!
The report of my Bookport's demise was
exaggerated! Hallelujah!!!!!!!! For those of you who inadvertently do
what I did, (I tried to update the BP with low strength batteries, thus
aborting the firmware installation.), this is my
solution for the dead Bookport. After discovering the Bookport had no life
in it at all, I removed the memory card and the batteries... the fresh
replacements. I left them out for approximately 24 hours. When I put both
the batteries and memory card back in the Bookport, Precise Pete said,
"Defaults restored." Everything is now working fine.
I sincerely hope I have learned a lesson. It is so important to make sure the battery level is high when installing firmware updates.
