I forget exactly how to do this, but can't you hold down some key and insert a 3 digit number for the ascii value? For instance, a cntrl+l would be 011. -----Original Message----- From: bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of ROB MEREDITH Sent: Wednesday, June 22, 2005 9:15 AM To: bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [bookport] Re: APH - New feature Page breaks in Word are not respected, but you already figured that out! As for how to put a Ctrl+L into a text document, I don't know. You might be able to find a text editor that lets you do this. Perhaps this isn't as simple as I claimed. Rob Meredith >>> ewers@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx 06/22/05 10:46AM >>> Rob and list, Rob said, "Simply put a form feed (CTRL+L) character where you want a page break." I have tried this and I can't get it to work. I can put in a page break in Word, but it does not get recognized when the BP converts the Word file and I suspect puts it into a text file. Is there a way to add a control character to a text file as you suggested? Sorry, I should know this, but the brain is not working today. Rob Meredith . >>> jacques.bosch@xxxxxxx 06/22/05 01:32AM >>> Hi all. I really love, and use a lot, the section marker feature. Jumping to next and previous sections with 6+9 and 4+7 respectively. But as far as I know 3+6 and 1+4 do nothing much when reading text files. Would it not be possible to add a Subsection marker feature? So in between two section markers one could use another marker to divide the section into smaller subsections, and navigate around these within the bounds of the section with 3+6 and 1+4. Would such a feature be possible / viable? I would truly love to see it. Also, is it possible to markup the text of a file some how to force the BP to recognize pages at specific positions? What are the limitations of this? Thank you much. Jacques __________ NOD32 1.1150 (20050621) Information __________ This message was checked by NOD32 antivirus system. http://www.eset.com
