I agree Dave. I carry my BookCourier in a camera pouch with an extra CF
card and a spare pair of rechargeable batteries. That way, when my BC
conks out on the train I can quickly change batteries and carry on
listening. I hope Springer will be using batteries that are widely
available and easy to change on the fly.

Cheers, Lynn

Subject: [bookcourier] re-chargeable batteries

Hello Chaps

Though I am verry much looking forward to the facilitys the new and
improved Book Courier will offer, I must confess, I am saddened by the
prospect of the unit using Re-chargeable batteries. I am sure this will
be music to the ears of the enviromentalists out there but I can think
of any number of scenarios where I shall be unable to get to a point
where I might charge my unit. The convenience of carrying a spare
packet of new batteries far outweighs any advantage that re-chargeables
have to offer in my humble opinion. But perhaps I am jumping the gun
here? will the re-chargeable batteries be the kind that are available
from any high street electrical shop, or will they be the dedicated kind
only buyable from a certifyed Book Courier dealer? All the best as
ever.

Dave
