Hopefully the battery will be a lithium iron type which you don't have to constantly remove causing the old problem of wearing out the battery clips. With any luck you will be able to recharge the courier with a conventional AC adaptor. This would be a major improvement over the current method, as well as a faster USB connection of course. Batteries will be rechargable, not regular I believe. I have a strong feeling that the offer of the upgrade is open to anyone. As long as you are prepared to send back your BC unit without accessories, flash media and batteries to Springer, I can't see why if you pay the shipping and handling fees they should not do the upgrade for BC users worldwide. I do have one questions though, will the BC still take the normal batteries and accessories as used with the old one? If you are just sending your unit back, they'll just upgrade it to add the new firmware I presume. Without proper details, we are just crystal gazing.
