Don --
Great info & encouraging for us USA based owners. Even if your SR2 CNC
design info is "lost", at least it would be feasible to make similar
steps in the future re the rear upright replacements for older or
newer series cars.

Sounds like you have some experience in Europe/UK with authenticity
issues. Care to share with interested people?

Don-
Thanks for the info.
Have you ever had issues with a vintage racing organization OK'ing the
use of your CNC'd uprights? I read that in Europe (UK?) they are very
strict on substitution of materials and processes on vintage race
cars. I think some USA vintage race sanctioning groups are less
strict, but not sure which are which. I've even seen some pretty
obvious examples of "out-of-period" substitutions (aluminum block
engines where not available in period is a prime example). What are
your (or any other Bobsy Talk members) experiences & comments?
Best regards,

Your recollection is correct. I did have my Rear uprights digitized and
CNC'd from a 6061 billet. Photos attached of my original magnesium
ones,
with the broken radius rod ear, and my CNC billet ones.
The problem is twofold:
My rear uprights are the early SR 2 ones, with the narrow top for the
camber link, and
I recently referred one of our members to Edge Engineering, who made my
uprights, and he said he no longer has the program.is
So, unfortunately, that will not likely help.

Don— I recall (accurately, I hope) that you mentioned having had
someone
develop a (functional) rear upright replacement machined from billet
material. Is my recollection sound & is it still possible to get those
made?
I don’t have an immediate need but would like to know if a replacement
