Agreed Gary.

The home computer is a very liberating tool. With the amount of information at ones finger tips, to the amount of social interactions online. Especially for people who may otherwise be in a position where they might not have this information or socialising opportunities.

I myself have experienced due to computer hardware faults brief times offline and without a laptop or even before that an mp3 player at hand honestly it would have been horrible at times.

Hi Derril! Good point! Computers, though personal, could be said to be only material things, but I know when I got a virus and was off line a couple of years ago, I really missed being on line with my friends, and looking at files I need to read. It's not quite in line with murder, but it's very frustrating for those this has happened to.

Hi Gary,

Yes. It is bad, but not sure it quite rises to this level? I'd rather settle for a dead computer any day! Who ultimately cares about the stupid computer?

Well folks, this thing is so terrible, it's like someone pointing a gun to the head of a friend of yours, and as much as telling us that he or she is going to pull the trigger, and shoot him or her. This is very critical, and I believe it's making everyone in the blind community very angry! I hope that everyone who lost files because of this bastard will be able to have things corrected, and that they will be back on line soon!

Well for a little while now, Microsoft has a "malicious software" tool
that is updated regularly with windows update. I would think trojan
horse programs should be considered malicious in my book and at this
Microsoft tool ot to be able to faret it out. After all, it attacks
Windows components, right?
