I know understand why some books in the collection appear to have twice as 
many pages as necessary.

Hi Guido,
Actually in this case I did mean deleting page breaks, but only the
erroneous ones that go with the erroneous numbers generated by Word, which
is a rude pushy program that should mind its own business and stop messing
up documents generated by other programs. <lol> Of course, if you can't 
tell
which set of page numbers and breaks is accurate the fake ones would be
better than none at all.
