At one time in the past we were instructed to move the page numbers to the top and then at some point we were told that the new Bookshare tools would do that for us. I would expect that would mean that in older books they might not be at the top. In fact, I think I am reading one of those right now. It is the Exiles Trilogy by Ben Bova. Frequently when the page changes I get two numbers. That tells me that what I am probably seeing is page numbers alternating between top and bottom. The book has other problems too, so I have already made a quality report on it.

So, what I am saying is why not stick with one uniform way in a book? Top, bottom, left, or right...just pick one and stay with it since Bookshare does not have a mandated way where to place page numbers.
