Well, I see now that it does sort.
It isn't at first obvious but see if you click on the link it will then change from descending to ascending.
and you have to click on the links.
it threw me since other sites I have seen had combo boxed to choose how to browse and sort.

I actually like the new list, and I'm not sighted. (smile) I can sort by
quality which is a huge plus, by title alphabetically, and I can also sort
books by their submission date. I found the old way of books being put on
top if someone released them to be illogical. It made them look like new
submissions when they weren't. I want to see actual newly submitted books or
the oldest submissions on top, depending on how I'm trying to work. The sort
on the quality column is a great feature too. The quality sort feature
actually sorts books by their ranking done by the Bookshare spellcheck tool
as opposed to the subjective quality ratings of the past. Sorting by quality
helps me work more effectively because I prefer to make sure all excellent
books are processed first. Sometimes I only have 4 to 6 hours a week to
devote to volunteering, and I want to find a book I can proofread in that
approximate amount of time. That knocks out raw scans and poorly scanned
books during these times. I like being able to easily focus and find a book
I can proofread without scrolling through a long list of stuff I won't have
time to work on.
