I'm sure Pavi will respond tomorrow. Today, she's taking the day off for MLK
Jr's birthday, as are the rest of us.

Evan, I wonder why someone who can do
something about this issue has not responded.

You missed my point. Not having any response at all is an indication that
whoever wrote the code, and whoever managed that process, did not give even
enough thought to the user to bother to write an automatically generated
response.

You said you wanted a more explicit acknowledgement of your success. What
would be wrong with a word of appreciation serving as that acknowledgement?
Another instance in which the old site was superior to the new one.

It doesn't indicate anything. That was my point. I would prefer to have some
kind of feedback that lets me know I did everything right and that I was
successful.

You may be right that the automatically generated response is not necessarily
an indication of appreciation. But what does no response at all indicate?

As for me, I don't care if I am thanked. It is only an automatically generated
computer response and so is no indication of appreciation. What I do care
about is some reassurance that I have done everything right and was
successful. If being returned to my download page is that confirmation it will
do,
but I do feel more comfortable with a more explicit acknowledgment of my
success.

You're automatically returned there Cindy! A nice feature would be for
proofreaders to hear the same "Thank You For
Submitting Your Book" message which scanners receive.

Were you guys automatically returned to your checked-out book page or did
you go there yourselves?
