I’ve had problems with page breaks in wishlist books scanned in-house, but I’m
not sure it’s the same issue you’re having. What happens to me is this:
working in draft view (Word), a page break seems to be missing, so I add one.
However, apparently the page break WAS there, it was just invisible to me. When
I move to Page Layout view, I can see that by adding a page break, I have
actually added a blank page that shouldn’t be there. What I have to do is get
rid of all the “invisible” page breaks, which I can usually do by back spacing
over that area until I get to the text on the preceding page. I have only ever
had a dozen or so of these invisible page breaks in a book, nothing like most
of 200 pages. That’s why I’m not sure my problem is that same as yours.

Have many other volunteers done wish list books? I know I have been spoiled
by exceptional scanning partners, but the other wish list book I got seems to
be missing most of its page breaks. It should have over 200 pages, but there
are only 38 section breaks, easily enough converted, but no searchable page
breaks. There are white spaces, but I don’t know how to convert them right.
Am I making any sense?
