Thanks, Gerald. There is a lot to do in validating this one, so I will take
your advice and doouble-check.

Sue,

Don't worry about it. As long as someone converted the file to RTF rather
than renaming it to RTF, it's a RTF file.

If you want to double check just to make sure, then make a copy of the file
and rename it with a TXT extension. When you pull the new file up in
Notepad or Word, it will have a lot of commands, or tags, in it which you
don't normally see because they are not displayed by Word, or whatever
software is being used to edit the file. Seems like the first thing you
normally don't see will have RTF in it, too.

Gerald

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] VALIDATION QUESTION

Hi All,

I am validating a book the submitter has labeled as a RTF file. However,
judging by the length of the lines, it appears to be a text file. Will this
cause a problem with page breaks when I am ready to upload it? Will it be
accepted as a RTF file despite the shorter lines? I have just done a few
pages and would not want to do the whole thing only to have the admin or
system reject it.

Thanks,

Sue S.
