Evan's way works too. You don't have to save them in default.

name, then either tab to Okay, or just hit the Enter key and your
settings will be saved. Then, when you reopen the program, it
automatically loads the default settings. To get the settings you

Enter on that and you will be in another dialogue box where all settings
files are created. Arrow down till you find the name of the settings file

Today I just got the disc from Kurzweil in Colorado. After I spent half
an hour customising it for my particular scans, closing and re-opening
it, I discovered that my settings did not get saved. Is this one of the
disadvantages you have to deal with for the trial versions, and are
there settings that can be easily accessed for the purposes of scanning
and proofing books for Books are?
