Al,

I know nothing about DocuScan Plus except what I read here, but if it is based on Omnipage, perhaps it puts in section breaks instead of page breaks. You can check this if you have MS Word. Do a search and replace with ^b in the find box and ^p^m^p in the replace box.

Hi, All.
@Kelly, I tried using this software but it didn't meet my expectations. If you look back you will see that this is why I asked about better software. Docu Scan Plus isn't meant for scanning large documents because it does not insert page breaks and you are not able to control some aspects of the programme.

A scanning software alternative from OB and K1000 is DocuScan Plus
from Serotek. It has the latest version of OmniPage and costs $300,
less than a third of the other two. It is from a company whose
primary focus is accessibility. sure, it is more than the mainstream
OmniPage software, but one can be certain about the accessibility at
a much reduced cost.

Sorry, Al, I don't know whether it works with NVDA. I know that with JAWS you can install it with speech and one will get out of the way of the other.
I just don't have that kind of experience with NVDA.

Hi all,
@Sandy, It's a trial version, not a paid version. The programme gave me this error when I told it to run the installation without speech, as I am using
NVDA.

Have you called the dealer to get your authorization number, etc.? If

HI all,
Well, I got K-1000 for Windows, but when I tried to install it, it gave me a critical error, saying that the package could not be opened and that I
should contact the programme vendor for further assistance. Is
K-1000 compatible with Windows Seven sixty-four bit home premium laptops?
I'd appreciate any further help. I'm installing the demo trial, by the
way.
Regards,
