Hi, Evan. YES, the pages were VERY long, very long indeed, it took forever to get to an actual Page Break. About the lack of page numbers, I figured it wouldn't be in Step 1 if it wasn't alright. Thanks so much, Marilyn

If the pages are long, then most of those "pages" may be soft page breaks added by Word. The clue that this may be the case is that you said that the number of pages was much larger in the doc version than in the rtf version. If there were page numbers, then we would know for sure if that is what's going on. But not having page numbers is not a reason for rejection, since while they are definitely preferred, they are not required.Evan----- Original Message ----- From: "Marilyn Beasley" <mbeasley@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, April 28, 2008 7:39 AM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: To Index or Not to Index...Cindy Lou and Mayrie, I validated it, every single page. Now, what it is is two books, actually. I think the second book is what you get if you go to their website, but that's just a guess. Also, when I put it into RTF format, it curled up like a scared puppy into 259 pages, which is also not possible because I spent a week's worth of time, full days, validating at least 2,000 pages. In .DOC format, it blew my computer's head off and stoppedcounting pages at 1,376, Line 999, but I still continued on for three moredays plus some. Cindy Lou, no, it doesn't have any page numbers. I'm very sorry. It didn't have ANY at all, so I couldn't even venture a guess or two. I'm going to clean it up just a little this morning, taking big chunks of bold and making them unbold (references mostly), and then I'm uploading this monster. BTW, it's a huge amount of information on every possible psychiatric disorder. It's not too technical, really, and it has sample cases with sample treatments, etc. It's a good reference book. Mayrie, thanks for your help when I needed it.
