Cindy, I think it was a marvelous description. I noticed particularly the precise way you described the colors. It sounds like a very sad picture!

Thank you for your comments, Jackie. I don't know
about the "talent for description," though. Sometimes,
when I try to describe illustrations, I'm afraid I put
in too much detail, and sometimes I think I'm too
vague, or describing things in terms that someone born
blind won't know what I'm talking about--or  make
assumptions. I'll never forget that when I answered a
question about the Man Who Walked Between the Towers,
I said that he held the pole perpendicular to the
tightrope wire, forgetting that that could mean two
different things. Fortunately, Shelley came to the
rescue. smile
