[bksvol-discuss] Re: How does one request a rescan?

There is a list of books that need a rescan on Jake's site:
http://www.jbrownell.com/bks/rescan.asp
but I imagine that it is radically out of date by now.

It may be that many people - especially newer ones - do not know about it,
since Jake's site does not seem to be widely published these days on the
mailing lists for some unknown reason, but there's no point in Bookshare
instituting something that is already set up. It's very easy to register and
then you can log on and make changes to update the series lists that are
there, as well as the reject list and the rescan list. I have added to the
reject list myself, although not to the others; but it was extremely easy,
so I imagine that working with the other lists would be similarly easy.

Maybe, Bookshare could have a "rescan list" like it presently has a "wish
list."

Woops, I think I got the 3000 from the bookshare display of the book
(you
know, where you can download the book etc.). What's a few thousand pages
    here and there.

If I can help in anyway, let me know.

I'm sure I contributed to the 257 messages.

However, I woke up this morning to 59 unread messages on this list. I
read
them quickly, but sure hope I didn't miss anything important.
