This would be a kludge, but if the person who scans for you protects their hard 
page breaks with a blank line before and after (I do that before sending out my 
scans), then you would be able to know it is a hard page break instead of a 
soft one if you have all punctuation turned on.  At least I think this would 
work.  I am not blind, so maybe others can chime in...
