Thanks, Kim. Rick Costa was a brilliant person with a great sense of humor. I will try this and see what happens.

Thanks bunches,
Sue S.

Hi, Sue, the one thing which drives me nuts is that increasing page
count thing you mentioned. I really hate that because I think it messes
up accuracy. I once had a problem with a file which suffered from an
increasing page count according to Word. The way it was solved was to go
into paragraph presentation and do some fiddling with the spacing
setting or something. I have the email message and I can send it as an
attachment if you like. Regards, Kim Friedman. P.S.: Now the solution
happened to work with this particular book I was proofreading. I don't
know if it would work for others and I would hate to make things harder
for you. K.

Oh no, Valerie, we don't mean that. We can see blank lines by using the

arrow keys. It is very hard to explain. It could be that I shouldn't
pay any attention to Word's page count, and just go by the page numbers
in the scan, even if pages are added in Word.

Are you saying when a person reads with a Braille Display there is now
way to see a blank line? Valerie

Unfortunatley, for some unknown reason, it doesn't work that way on
the braille
display, Valerie!

Hey, Sue S;

This would be a kludge, but if the person who scans for you protects

their hard page breaks with a blank line before and after (I do that
before sending
out my scans), then you would be able to know it is a hard page break
instead
of a soft one if you have all punctuation turned on. At least I think

this
would work. I am not blind, so maybe others can chime in...
  Valerie
